Featured Stationer at The NotWedding Charlotte this August

So a lot has changed even since Gus and I got married almost two years ago. I used to steer clear of bridal shows, knowing they'd be a mad house, impersonal, and overwhelming conference-style expos. But that was until I heard about something called The NotWedding.

If you've never heard of The NotWedding, it's a lot like what the name suggests - it's an awesome, creative bridal show thrown in the form of a big, fake wedding! Brides are treated to a real ceremony, with a married couple (renewing their vows), and all the beautiful and meaningful details that accompany any wedding ceremony and reception. These are provided by vendors who specialize in thoughtful, creative weddings. This way, brides not only get to go to an awesome party, they get to see potential wedding vendors in action!

After discovering this awesome event, I am thrilled to announce that I've been selected to be a featured vendor at the first ever The NotWedding Charlotte!

I'm so excited to participate by providing invitations for the "ceremony" as well as some fun, creative paper surprises inspired by the "wedding." I'll also be on hand to meet with brides and loved ones to say hello and share in person how I use paper and other crafts to celebrate your love story on your wedding day.

The NotWedding will be held for the first time ever in Charlotte, North Carolina on August 7, 2014. If you're interested in going or know someone who would love this refreshing take on bridal shows, stay tuned -- I'll be giving away FREE TICKETS to the event on the blog in a few months!

And for those wondering, nope this isn't some sort of wedding industry April Fool's joke despite the date. This is happening!
