"Home" Wedding & Reception Details for Ashley and Justin
Ashley & Justin
September 5, 2015 | Fayetteville, North Carolina
In our last post, I shared Ashley and Justin's "home" themed bookmark save the dates and wedding invitation suite. Today, here's a reveal of their wedding and reception details!
Purple and White Ceremony Programs
For Justin and Ashley's traditional wedding ceremony under the Chuppah, we opted to play up purple - a signature color of the wedding to do something a bit more fun while still elegant.
We did a double sided card that featured a special note from Ashley and Justin on the back to thank their guests.
"Find the Key to your Seat" Handlettered Wood Escort Cards
Since we were continuing the idea of "home," I recommended that we use wood again after using it in the save the dates. I created this concept of wood tags, each handlettered, and tied to a key. My aunt found vintage looking keys that doubled as bottle openers!
These greeted guests upon their arrival to the wedding and had their table assignment handwritten on the back of their tag (so they could keep the front as a keepsake with just their name featured).
Engagement Picture Vellum Table Numbers in Clear Frames
Using Faith Teasley's beautiful engagement photography, I designed black and white Table Numbers and had them printed on vellum (translucent) paper. We slid the paper into clear frames, placed battery-operated tealights behind them, and enjoyed a romantic glow throughout the evening.
Handlettered Wood Mr. and Mrs. Chair Signs
For a special touch at the head table, I created these simple wood, handlettered chair signs for the Mr. and Mrs. With their natural look, I hope Ashley and Justin can find a spot for them in their home together.
Custom "Home is where our story begins" Wedding Art Canvas
Last but not least - my favorite detail - a custom canvas with "home is where our story begins." For me, this art and the image of Ashley and Justin together really tell the story of all the wedding memories. I love that they had this on their wedding day and can enjoy it for many years to come.
After giving my toast, I kicked off my heels and enjoyed not being in charge of any more details!
I hope you enjoyed this look at the wedding and our previous look at the save the dates and invitations. I'll be doing one more more post - on Ashley and Justin's wedding weekend invitations (rehearsal dinner and breakfast) - soon. Thanks for reading!
